The Thrice-Bound Fool by Christopher Buehlman

Release Date: October 13, 2026
Kinch Na Shannack has stolen a book that would very much like to kill him. Unfortunately, the secrets inside it may be the only way to protect Manreach. Galva has agreed to keep him alive while he works them out, partly because the same book could help save the queen she loves.
The Thrice-Bound Fool is the direct sequel to The Blacktongue Thief, returning to Kinch and Galva after Buehlman explored Galva’s earlier life in The Daughters’ War. With the Taker’s Guild pursuing them, the pair must travel beyond the world they know. The new hardcover arrives October 13.
As You Wake, Break the Shell by Becky Chambers

Release Date: October 13, 2026
Becky Chambers begins a new science fiction duology on Fortune, a planet where resources are scarce and survival depends on the people around you. Cora pilots a living ship named Colibri, but a dangerous condition threatens both her career and their bond. Her search for help brings her to Signy, a botanist who makes medicine in a small plant shop.
Signy is used to bending the rules for people the system has failed. Helping Cora, however, could put the life she has built at risk. The novel follows their relationship across two timelines, combining an alien setting with the questions of care, belonging, and responsibility familiar to Chambers’ readers.
Ghosts of the Void by Jonathan Maberry

Release Date: October 13, 2026
Jonathan Maberry brings the NecroTek series to its conclusion with Ghosts of the Void. The people aboard Asphodel have survived being transported to a remote part of the galaxy, followed by months of fighting creatures out of their worst nightmares. Now they may finally have a way back to Earth.
That escape depends on recreating the God Machine while surviving the Mi-Gos and the forces of the Outer Gods. The ghost-pilot Lost helps the station’s survivors pursue their chance at freedom, but control of the machine has consequences far beyond Asphodel. This is the third NecroTek novel, following NecroTek and Cold War.
Sunderworld, Vol. 2: The Unfortunate Responsibilities of Leopold Berry by Ransom Riggs

Leopold Berry’s introduction to Sunder did not go as planned. He failed his channeler test and was thrown out, only to discover a powerful ring through clues left by his mother. He has no idea how to use it, and having it has attracted the attention of people and creatures he would rather avoid.
Ransom Riggs concludes the Sunderworld duology as Leopold, Emmet, and Isabel face a magical world in trouble. Leopold must untangle his family’s history while the government, paparazzi, and monsters close in. Readers who started with The Extraordinary Disappointments of Leopold Berry can pick up the second volume in hardcover this week.

Todd Herzman’s ninth Accidental Champion book continues the LitRPG apocalypse series with another test of Xavier’s growing power.
