Light Day is Dragonsteel Books’ early holiday sale for Brandon Sanderson’s books and merchandise. This year’s online sale runs October 24–27, 2026, ahead of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
A new signed and numbered Skyward leatherbound will launch with the sale. Sanderson’s October 20 weekly update also confirmed 20% off almost everything and 50% off Radiant Order merchandise.
When does Light Day 2026 start?
The sale begins Saturday, October 24, at 9 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time on the Dragonsteel Books store. That is 8 a.m. Pacific, 11 a.m. Eastern, or 3 p.m. UTC. It ends Tuesday, October 27, at 11:59 p.m. MDT.
For readers outside the Mountain time zone, the closing time is 10:59 p.m. Pacific on October 27, or 1:59 a.m. Eastern and 5:59 a.m. UTC on October 28. The online sale lasts longer than the one-day Light Day Market at Dragonsteel headquarters.
What is on sale, and how does the newsletter discount work?
Dragonsteel is offering 20% off almost everything, including pins, and 50% off all Radiant Order merchandise. The announcement does not provide a complete list of exclusions, so check the price shown on each product when the sale opens.
The Radiant Order range lets Stormlight Archive readers choose merchandise associated with their order. Dragonsteel’s Windrunner shirt, for example, features the order’s glyph on a blue shirt. The 50% offer makes this a useful section to check if you have been waiting to pick up order-specific clothing or accessories.
Subscribers to the Dragonsteel Books newsletter will also receive an additional discount code that stacks with the other deals. Sanderson did not state the code or its percentage in the update. That extra discount is for online orders only, so newsletter subscribers should check their inbox before checking out.
Skyward gets a signed and numbered leatherbound
The new Skyward leatherbound launches for Light Day, and Sanderson says the entire first print run is signed and numbered. His update did not specify the price or the size of that print run. Check the launch listing for those details before placing an order.
Dragonsteel is also restocking some of its popular Skyward slug plushies and offering a bundle with the leatherbound and a slug of your choice. The announcement did not identify every returning plush variant. The Doomslug pictured below is an example from Dragonsteel’s existing range, rather than confirmation that this particular version will be available.

The London Mistborn merchandise returns
Sanderson also confirmed that Mistborn merchandise introduced in London will return, with a bundle available. These items previously had a short online availability window during Mistborn’s 20th-anniversary celebrations.
Dragonsteel’s London merchandise announcement featured a black-and-gray Mistborn softshell jacket with red Allomantic symbols and Kredik Shaw bookends. The metal bookends depict the Lord Ruler’s palace with a Mistborn arcing above it. The Light Day update did not spell out the bundle’s contents or price.

The Light Day Market takes place Saturday, October 24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. MDT at Dragonsteel headquarters, 1027 West 700 South, Pleasant Grove, Utah 84062. Dragonsteel lists the event on its upcoming events page, with an RSVP link for visitors.
Sanderson’s update promises warehouse tours, the online bundles and deals, and products normally available only at conventions and events. The additional newsletter code remains online-only. The announcement invites visitors to meet the Dragonsteel team; it does not promise a Sanderson signing or appearance.
