Floor 16: The Agony of Mirrors
The Agony of Mirrors is Floor Sixteen: an otherwise empty room containing an ordinary mirror from an abandoned Motel 6 in Boise. Its alarming name disguises a remarkably plain setting. When the deeper realms become dangerous, the system directs club guests toward it as a refuge.[1]

The room behind the name
The evacuation announcement describes one ordinary motel mirror and nothing else in the room. It reveals no mirror puzzle, hostile reflection or boss.
The sparse illustration follows that description: the lonely mirror is the floor’s defining feature.[1]

A refuge that must be reached
Sixteen lies outside Scolopendra’s linked layers. Guests fleeing the club on Eighteen must cross the Backstage Death Maze on Seventeen to reach it.
The system offers them a destination, but no easy passage through the maze.[1]

Attempts to escape the resort
Quasar reports that the guests fail to cross Seventeen and resurrect back on Eighteen. They remain alive, but repeated painful attempts leave them trapped below the refuge.
At this point, no successful evacuation to the room has been confirmed.[2]

The later maze account
Nigel later recalls one unnamed female outworlder crossing the maze after repeated attempts. The bosses were absent and the central rotunda inactive, giving her an unusual opportunity. Her success does not establish that the other guests followed.[3]
