History
Book 6
The Eye of the Bedlam Bride
Carl gathers a phone, street map, clothes and a wallet. Encounters with his family’s past later leave him with photographs, drawings, his father’s motorcycle, other vehicles, a pistol and ammunition, and an arcade cabinet. Some are useful supplies; others matter because of the memories they hold.[2]

Book 7
This Inevitable Ruin
Several simulation objects disappear at the transition, though the losses are not listed individually. Carl keeps his father’s Glock: a later reward gives him ammunition for it. That confirms the pistol survived without establishing that every other collected object did.[3]
