Charging and restrictions
Each transfer takes ten hours and removes the magic from the original hat. Temporary effects still expire, and curses can transfer unpredictably. Some celestial or god-blessed effects are restricted; intelligent hats and hats carrying debts normally cannot be absorbed. Once all ninety-nine pearls are filled, new buffs replace older ones.[1]

This Inevitable Ruin
Long Haul sends Donut the tiara and pillow. She keeps them after the sponsor ends its arrangement, and later scenes show her gradually charging the tiara.
Katia helps collect Constitution and Dodge increases into potion balls. An Intelligence increase from crystal enhancement cannot be removed the same way. It is important to distinguish a stat increase from a removable bonus supplied by equipment.[2]
