Rebecca Yarros has given fans their first proper look at the upcoming Fourth Wing graphic novel.
Yarros revealed the covers for Fourth Wing, The Graphic Novel: Volume One on Instagram, showing off the main hardcover and paperback editions along with several alternate covers that will be available through different retailers.
The first Fourth Wing graphic novel arrives in April
Fourth Wing, The Graphic Novel: Volume One releases April 6, 2027.
Yarros previously announced the release date earlier this month and said she was already working through proofs for the book. On her official website, the graphic novel is described as a new adaptation of the first Fourth Wing novel, with Yarros herself handling the adaptation.
The artwork comes from illustrator Anabel Rossi, whose version of Violet can now be seen front and center on the newly revealed main cover.
Behind Violet are several of the dragons readers will immediately recognize, giving fans one of their first chances to see how the creatures and characters from the Empyrean series will look throughout the graphic novel.
Volume One only covers half of Fourth Wing
Volume One adapts Chapters 1 through 22 of Fourth Wing, meaning the original novel is being divided across multiple graphic novel volumes.
The book is currently listed at 256 pages and will feature full-color artwork throughout.
There is also a $65 signed deluxe edition
For collectors, the biggest version is the Deluxe Signed Edition, currently priced at $65.
According to Barnes & Noble, that edition comes signed by Rebecca Yarros and includes a metallic foil-stamped cover, slipcase and an exclusive art print depicting Violet and Xaden’s first kiss.
The regular U.S. hardcover carries a $36 list price, while the paperback is listed at $26. Both are also scheduled for April 6.
