World Dungeon · Floor 18
Floor 18: Club Scolopendra
Floor Eighteen is the bottom of the World Dungeon and the destination of its promised victory. It also houses Club Scolopendra, an exclusive retreat where wealthy spectators enjoy the crawl from deep below the people fighting through it.[1]

The final floor and the promised reward
The opening announcement promises regency over Earth to whoever completes all eighteen levels. Entrances halve at each stage, rounding upward, until only two lead into Eighteen.
The crawlers must still reach and complete that final stage to claim the announced victory.[2]

A resort inside the dungeon boss
Willow Joy describes Club Scolopendra as a resort inside the enormous centipede, below her brain. Stabilizing magic keeps the guest areas comfortable. In the dark service passages beyond it, Willow can hear and feel Scolopendra’s heartbeat.
Willow says the club normally opens on Floor Two’s first day and closes three days after the Ascendency. Guests spend the season at the bottom of the dungeon while crawlers struggle far above.
The illustration shows the resort enclosed within Scolopendra. Its furnishings and room arrangement are illustrative, but the club’s location inside the boss is established.[3]

Guests, sponsorship and the Priory
The Abbess, an elderly four-eyed tajacu, brings six younger Priory priestesses to the retreat. One will pilot their sponsored goddess Eris in the Ascendency. Willow remembers an earlier victory winning the church a temporary crawl-subcommittee seat, though she does not know how it used the position.
After the Valtay takeover, Nami outbids the Priory for Eris’s sponsorship. The angry visitors leave Willow behind. Their religious retreat is closely tied to the money and influence surrounding the gods’ competition.[3]

The people who serve the guests
Willow serves as an attendant and masseuse and is sexually exploited by guests. Ordinary attendants are recycled unless repeated customer requests keep them between seasons. Yuki, an elf-like NPC, teaches Willow to survive by making herself useful.
Hundreds of seasons serving the Abbess offer Willow no security once the Priory leaves. Facing reassignment to Nurse Yugoslav, who is known for killing attendants, she disguises herself as an administrator and flees.
She escapes through the service passages to Backstage, far from the privileged experience the resort offers its customers.[3]

Protection is not the same as safety
Quasar reports that guests killed while fleeing through Seventeen regenerate on Eighteen. They remain trapped, repeatedly enduring the maze’s violence. The same protection is not established for the club’s servants.
The club blocks outside divine auras but fails to stop Scolopendra’s second Nine-Tier Attack. Carl and Penelope escape its effect through their individual rolls, while worms consume Cirri Pinta.
Carl’s route into the club nearly suffocates Penelope inside Scolopendra’s body. An anti-asphyxiation potion expires before he can give another. He equips her with an Oxygenated piercing, then carries her through an internal passage using Oozy Form and Mordecai’s modified backpack.[4]

The open door and the unresolved escape
The AI makes clear that defeating Scolopendra alone cannot win the crawl: the survivors must leave through Eighteen. The Floor Eleven outcome opens its exit and suspends deeper-floor timers until the Ascendency produces a winner.
Carl plans to delay that winner until everyone can escape. The AI has tied the contest’s conclusion to a twelve-hour collapse deadline, leaving little time once someone wins.
Victory sees unprotected club occupants disappear as Scolopendra transforms. She believes the resort’s dimensional space has regenerated, leaving most guests behind. Their exact destinations remain unknown.[5]

Book 2
Carl’s Doomsday Scenario
The wealthy retreat is introduced
Mordecai first describes Eighteen’s wealthy retreat when contrasting it with the tourist hunts on Six. He says no crawler has reached Fifteen, emphasizing how much easier it is for paying guests to reach the bottom.[1]

Book 7
This Inevitable Ruin
The expected final boss wakes early
Odette is alarmed when Scolopendra begins stirring: the boss should wake only when crawlers reach Eighteen. Justice Light’s intervention later breaks the Nothing and spills it into the linked deeper realms. The system announces Scolopendra’s awakening and directs guests toward Sixteen.
To reach that refuge, they must survive the Backstage Death Maze on Seventeen.[6]

Book 8
A Parade of Horribles
The club is drawn into the eleventh-floor battle
Carl summons Scolopendra into the Floor Eleven arena with the resort still inside her. He enters with Penelope, draws Emberus into the club and provokes a confrontation involving Taranis and Khepri. His accusations against Khepri and himself are lies intended to enrage Emberus.
Scolopendra survives the divine battle. Her later transformation and the opening of the final exit create another chance to escape, while many resort occupants remain unaccounted for.[7]
