Talisman of the Slate Butterfly
The Talisman of the Slate Butterfly is a charm Donut wears on her collar. It raises her Intelligence, improves her jumping and makes winged fairies less likely to attack her on sight.[1]

Properties
The talisman adds one Intelligence and four levels to Light on Your Feet. When Donut puts it on, her jumping skill rises from level three to level seven.
Winged fairies are no longer automatically hostile toward the wearer. Donut can still provoke one, but simply approaching a fairy does not make it attack her.[1]

Donut finds the talisman in a Gold Magic Box and attaches it to her collar while the party is eating and opening rewards.[1]

Book 5
The Butcher’s Masquerade
The stuffed Slate Butterflies introduced later draw on the same legend. Bautista says those figures seek out and consume nearby light when released. Donut’s collar talisman does not have that ability.[2]
