Scroll of Upgrade
A Scroll of Upgrade improves a randomly chosen piece of worn equipment. The scroll must be read within twenty minutes, so Carl cannot save it for a distant future upgrade.[1]

The scroll selects from the gear the reader is wearing. It changes that item’s properties; it does not upgrade the whole inventory or permanently add the same bonuses to the wearer’s base stats.[1]
