Introduction
Appearance and Personality
Her early display identifies a low-level human with no class. She follows the workers into a boss fight alone, survives and wanders onward with her cart.[2]
When Carl discovers hidden equipment associated with the cart, Agatha’s sharp look warns him against asking about it. She tells him the creatures know she is there but do not know what to do with her.[3]
She appears at the Iron Tangle’s exit at level eight, still pushing the cart with its pink flamingo. Carl struggles to explain how someone so low-level keeps surviving.[4]
A scene before the Collapse reveals a calculating operative behind that vulnerable appearance. She belongs to a small group opposed to the Apothecary’s much larger network, and her goal is the end of biological life.[5]

Attributes and Abilities
Stairs turn into a ramp for Agatha’s cart. Carl’s inventory history reveals that a Valtay relay, personal shield and pulse pistol passed through his possession when he stored it. He cannot inspect their full effects or tell why she has them.[6]
Agatha is Agent 22, operating inside a human body far from her collective.[5]
She killed an Apothecary Residual and took over its body, equipment and information feed. These stolen resources give her access to a rival network’s warnings. She has spent almost ten Earth years away from her collective, coordinating with only a few other agents.
Knowing the Collapse is imminent, she plans a barrel fire to bring residents and police outside. Their emergency becomes a likely point of interest for a dungeon entrance and her route to the AI.[5]
Agatha takes a co-warlord position in the War Mage Rebellion through access Akuma says he does not understand. The office lets her introduce emergency changes with deadly consequences. Abandoning the post later costs her that authority.[7]

History
Book 1
Dungeon Crawler Carl
A survivor the broadcast removes
Brandon says Agatha’s barrel fire forced Meadow Lark’s residents outside before the Collapse. They were already outdoors when the entrance appeared. She takes her cart into the dungeon, where the stairs become a ramp for it.
Agatha joins the Ball of Swine fight as a solo crawler but is omitted from the broadcast. Carl later discovers records of a Valtay relay, shield and pistol from storing her cart. Her warning look stops him questioning her, while a simultaneous gap in the feed adds to his suspicions.[8]
Choose Book 1 or later above to read this part of the history.
Book 3
The Dungeon Anarchist’s Cookbook
Another ramp
She reappears after the Iron Tangle’s generators fail, with the cart and pink flamingo intact. The stairs accommodate her again. Carl keeps Imani from interfering and lets her leave.[4]
Choose Book 3 or later above to read this part of the history.
Book 4
The Gate of the Feral Gods
A name investigators already know
Orren excludes Agatha from the offered reward for identifying Carl’s information source, showing that investigators have considered her already. Li Jun later sees her descend silently at level twelve.[9]
Choose Book 4 or later above to read this part of the history.
Book 6
The Eye of the Bedlam Bride
Before the Collapse: Agent 22
The epilogue returns to shortly before the Collapse. Agatha, Agent 22, is in Wenatchee after postponing a move toward Seattle until winter ends. Almost ten years after arriving on Earth, she intercepts an Apothecary warning: the Collapse is less than two hours away.
She obtained the feed by killing an Apothecary Residual and taking its body and equipment. Her few agents oppose thousands in that network. Agent 21, formerly Parvati and now Alexandro, arrived with her, but they have not met face to face in a decade.
Agatha plans the fire that will bring Meadow Lark’s residents and the responding police outside. She hopes the site will produce an entrance and let her reach the AI. Her intended victory would recruit the imprisoned Primal, erase biological life and let the Eulogist sleep again.[5]
The name Residual reaches Carl
In the current crawl, Goff introduces Carl to Residuals. Orren describes Agatha as a different kind and will not promise that removing protections would kill her. Carl still lacks the knowledge of her motives revealed to the reader.[10]
Choose Book 6 or later above to read this part of the history.
Book 7
This Inevitable Ruin
A brief claim to faction power
Reports place her in Shanty Town, and Zev passes on orders to avoid her. Orren later identifies her in the AI’s relationship metaphor.
After the Madness falls, Agatha becomes co-warlord of the War Mage Rebellion with Akuma. She uses the position to introduce dangerous rules, while Rosetta and Fopsy offer partial accounts of the threat. She then abandons the post, leaving Akuma in control and her destination unknown.[11]
Choose Book 7 or later above to read this part of the history.
Book 8
A Parade of Horribles
The Pineapple Cabaret report
Akuma links some of the creatures overrunning the Pineapple Cabaret to Agatha as he asks Carl for help. He does not reveal her present location.[12]
The Security Guard connection
Speaking through Grigori, the AI identifies her team as Residuals of the Security Guard, a smaller instance watching over the sleeping Eulogist. It says the Guard wants biological life to remain dead, while the Apothecary sends her own Residuals for defense.
The account places Agatha’s mission within the conflict between those powers. The AI acknowledges gaps in its history, and the outcome of Agatha’s mission remains unknown.[13]
Choose Book 8 or later above to read this part of the history.
Relationships
Carl
Agent 21
Agent 21 arrived with her almost a decade earlier and has used the names Parvati and Alexandro. They have not met face to face during that time.[5]
The Apothecary
She opposes the Apothecary’s far larger Residual network. Killing one of its operatives gives her stolen equipment and access to its information.[5]
The dungeon AI
Agatha sees the AI as an imprisoned Primal she might recruit. Freeing it would serve her aim of eliminating biological life, putting her purpose at odds with the crawlers’ survival.[5]
Orren identifies Agatha as the new girlfriend in the AI’s metaphor for competing influences on it.[15]
Akuma
Akuma does not anticipate her becoming his co-warlord. When she abandons the role and is removed, he becomes sole warlord without fully understanding how she gained access.[7]
