Containment Interface
The Containment Interface controls the device that installs the dungeon AI in its Primal engine. Disconnect Containment removes most of its controls and disables the failsafe. A separate fuse has its own activation.[1]

This Inevitable Ruin
The Christmas encounter, withheld until this book, shows Carl drinking Goff’s neural-enhancer coffee during the previous book’s memory-floor events. The installation starts then, and Carl gains access to the interface afterward.
Carl reads the warning and chooses Disconnect Containment. He leaves the separate fuse untouched. This is the revelation of an earlier action, not a new installation on the ninth floor.[1]
