Floor 13: Beyond the survival record
Floor Thirteen is the deepest floor reached by any human in the account Mordecai gives Carl. That lone crawler died within half an hour. The floor’s name, layout and challenges remain largely unknown.[1]

The crawler who reached Thirteen
Mordecai does not name the human or explain what killed them. His account gives Carl a measure of how few survive this far, rather than a route he can follow.[1]

Rage Elementals
The system threatens human-born crawlers who deliberately urinate in the halls with a Floor Thirteen Rage Elemental. This identifies one creature associated with the floor, though its wider environment remains undescribed.[2]

Why the picture remains a mystery
Through Book Eight, the novels have not revealed the current floor’s setting, bosses or quests. The atlas uses a mystery marker until there is enough detail to depict it.[3]
