Borrowed pink Crocs
The pink Crocs belong to Beatrice. Carl borrows them when he goes outside to fetch Donut, moments before the Collapse. His own boots are drying in the basement, and the Crocs are the closest shoes he can find, even though they are too small for him.[1]

Book 1
Dungeon Crawler Carl
Carl leaves the apartment in the Crocs, boxer shorts and a leather jacket. When the buildings collapse, he carries Donut toward the warmth coming from a dungeon entrance.
Carl loses both Crocs while fleeing the Goblin Murder Dozer on the first floor. He reaches Mordecai’s guildhall barefoot. The dungeon will soon reward him for fighting without shoes, but the Crocs themselves have no special powers.[2]
