The Enchanted Spiked Kneepads of the Shade Gnoll Riot Forces are magical armor Carl receives in a Gold Crowd Control Box. They resize to fit him and have long spikes that can extend or retract.[1]

Defensive effects
The kneepads give Carl’s equipped armor ten-percent Damage Reflect and cancel momentum-based attacks. Damage Reflect returns some damage to an attacker; it does not prevent Carl from being hurt.[2]
