Modified XL carrier and cleaner route
A modified XL pet carrier can hold a willing crawler for a few seconds. A cleaner bot can swallow the occupied carrier, allowing the group to sell the cleaner as a possible way out of the crawl.[1]

How the route works
The carrier breaks after about ten seconds and ejects its occupant with roughly twenty seconds of Bonked. It cannot enter ordinary inventory while occupied, but a cleaner can ingest it. The cleaner must swallow it in time, then be switched off and sold through the shop.
The route needs expensive XL carriers, enough cleaner capacity and a waiting buyer. Being sold does not prove the passenger survived or was released. Li Na’s separate signaling cactus is meant to confirm what happens after the sale.[1]

History
Book 8
A Parade of Horribles
Li Na volunteers to test the route. Suckira swallows her carrier, Mordecai deactivates the cleaner and Donut lists it for Herot’s standing order. A single flower eventually appears on Li Na’s cactus, giving her approval signal.
The group sends another 227 crawlers after Li Na. Carl’s cleaner carries forty, and another carries 105. The evacuations succeed in moving them out through the sales, though the story does not individually confirm every traveler’s release.[2]
