Introduction
Prepotente is an uplifted goat crawler who travels with Miriam Dom. One of the dungeon’s highest-ranked competitors, he is a skilled planner with a fierce temper and deep devotion to his family. By the time he meets Carl in the Iron Tangle, he has devised his own way to defeat the floor.[1]
Appearance and Personality
The recap first shows Prepotente with Miriam and another goat. His race is Caprid and his class Forsaken Aerialist. He confronts Carl loudly and angrily after the party removes a boss needed for his plan, with Miriam stepping in to calm him.[2]
Unexpected noise and explosions distress him, even when he understands what caused them. Carl’s attempt to bypass a trapped route nearly provokes Bianca into attacking. Miriam explains that Prepotente has been deeply attached to her since before the dungeon and struggles with separation. He permits only certain people to call him Pony.[3]
Prepotente’s hostility often conceals loneliness. He considers using a biscuit to gain another goat’s affection and later breaks down over a possible life Miriam never lived. Patient friendship helps him in ways his extraordinary combat strength cannot.[4]

Attributes and Abilities
He first appears in the rankings as a level-27 Caprid Forsaken Aerialist. His Iron Tangle plan would chain Province Boss deaths until the soul crystals overload, but Carl’s actions remove a required target before he can carry it out.[2]
Prepotente stacks debuffs to immobilize and weaken enemies. Footage shows Quan Ch taking the killing blow on a boss he has already disabled. He later kills a level-150 turkey and gains eight levels, demonstrating how far above his own level he can fight.[5]
By the Hunting Grounds, he has changed class to Profane Vitiate. He amplifies damaging debuffs while Miriam heals him. Bianca provides protection and transport, eventually gaining wings that let her carry him through the air.
Those effects can also turn against him. Community Pool, protective abilities and Opposite Day rings interact to leave him petrified and fragile at one hit point. An accidental Ring of Divine Suffering mark on Miriam blocks his healing while she lives. Simply waking him would expose him to a fatal injury.[3]
Before descending, Prepotente buys Pole Position and recognizes the Great Race’s maze from a familiar story. Sponsor gifts, announcements and a lore book reveal how to break it. His plan succeeds when the AI prevents production from interfering with the rules.[6]
At level ninety-nine, he can devastate an army, though penalties limit where he may attack or teleport. During the naga assault, he supplies a map, hidden exit and godspittle protection that let allies exploit otherwise dangerous effects.[7]
Prepotente anticipates that eliminated NPC race teams may be replaced by crawlers. Later lineups partly confirm this. He also coordinates rockets and Bianca’s retrieval during the factory heat, contributing planning as well as damage.[8]

History
Book 3
The Dungeon Anarchist’s Cookbook
A competing solution to the Iron Tangle
Prepotente ranks third with a 400,000-gold bounty while traveling with Miriam. He plans a chain of boss kills to overload the Iron Tangle’s soul crystals and erupts when Carl removes a needed target. Miriam restrains him, while he recognizes Donut as another uplifted animal. Odette later refers to their interrupted Province Boss operation.[9]

Book 4
The Gate of the Feral Gods
Stolen credit and Miriam’s transformation
The recap shows him disabling a boss through stacked debuffs before Quan Ch takes the kill. He remains highly ranked as he and Miriam progress. Reports of a violent incident during a show are later linked to his reaction to her vampire transformation.
Near the floor’s end, he kills a level-150 turkey and gains eight levels, reaching fifty-five. Miriam’s transformation will shape how the family travels through the coming Hunting Grounds.[10]

Book 5
The Butcher’s Masquerade
Rescuing Carl
Prepotente, Miriam and Bianca help Carl after the hunter attack. Miriam treats wounds resistant to normal healing while Prepotente scouts and tackles the remaining interference. Carl ignores his warning about a trapped route, causing explosions that distress him. Miriam makes them both apologize.[11]
The failed cure and Miriam’s death
Prepotente tries to transfer Miriam’s vampire infection to Viscount Fog through Community Pool, intending to kill the new prime. Reflections and overlapping protective and ring effects trap them instead. Fog eventually dies from a darkness-related debuff, but Prepotente remains petrified while holding Miriam.
His accidental Divine Suffering mark on Miriam prevents healing while she lives. At one hit point, he would shatter from a minor injury if released. Carl refuses Miriam’s request to kill her, and she dies in sunlight. Once the healing restriction lifts, Donut removes his paralysis.
Prepotente takes off the ring, swallows it and collapses beside Miriam’s ashes. Donut stays with him while the pair prepare to defend the clearing.[12]
Retaliation and an unexpected gift
An emergency benefactor box provides a specialized canister and a recipe for attacking Creepers. Prepotente leaves on Bianca, determined to inflict his pain on others. He later receives credit for ten Creeper kills and appears at the masquerade at level seventy with fifteen hunter-kill marks.
He brings Donut the sponsor’s reserved I Take It All Back potion despite his grief and exhaustion. He declines the party’s invitation to socialize but continues helping them.[13]
Breaking the Great Race
Prepotente temporarily joins the party to descend with Carl and Donut. He spends his prize hands on Pole Position, a skill upgrade and mana potions, then exchanges access to his temporary safe room for party leadership. Carl uses the room to open prize boxes.
After the final battle, he argues over the crystal and urges immediate descent. In the Floor Seven chamber, he recognizes the story behind the maze and the purpose of his unusual gifts. He leaves the party, returning leadership to Donut, then attacks the rear glass wall with an enchanted stick, hammer and potion.
The AI cancels production’s attempts to stop him. Cracks spread until the maze shatters. Prepotente invokes Miriam’s memory as he destroys the floor, and portals carry every crawler to Floor Eight without running the Great Race.[14]

Book 6
The Eye of the Bedlam Bride
Cooperation from the Bahamas
He arrives in the Bahamas, separated from Carl and Donut. Lacking guild and club access, he asks Carl to read their regional lore book to him. Later he reports changes in the sky and helps develop the stairwell-chamber escape plan.
He warns that the plan may fail or mutilate people and prepares to use his own key. Before leaving, he urges Carl to strengthen the demon and reread the quest. He withdraws his threat against Carl over Miriam, asking for help against those truly responsible.[15]

Book 7
This Inevitable Ruin
Before Miriam’s death
An earlier encounter with Milk shows Prepotente protecting Miriam after their accidental damage to the guild master’s room brings them together. It forms part of the background to his independent planning.[16]
Revenge within an army
With Bianca’s help, Prepotente warns Carl of concealed enemy movements. The Posse discovers he has already killed much of the naga army in revenge for Miriam. His penalties make coordination difficult, but Conscription brings him into the army as a Colonel.
He provides the assault route and protection, acknowledging that the Posse will still be his army after his revenge. When Vinata anticipates the pursuit, he stays to fight beside Carl.[17]
A continuing commitment
Prepotente leaves the 103rd’s protection to help Carl’s group, but the Witness ritual removes him from Bianca’s back. He later holds the crystal and helps look for marked warlords, though the search does not resolve Li Na’s missing targets.[18]

Book 8
A Parade of Horribles
Races and loneliness
He worries that Jurgen’s impulsiveness will disrupt their race preparations and warns about crawler replacement teams. He also asks about biscuit variants before giving one to Ragazzaccia. When he admits he wants companionship, Donut offers daily conversation rather than changing another goat to make it love him.[19]
Shared problems and surviving a heat
Carl asks for help with another seemingly impossible choice, which Prepotente compares to the Donut–Katia crisis. During the factory race, he rides Sweety with Jurgen and coordinates rockets and Bianca’s retrieval. Their team alone survives its heat.
He reluctantly lets the others examine the crystal before taking it back. What it shows complicates their understanding of Apito’s death.[20]
The life Miriam did not have
Ad Infinitum presents a possible life in which Miriam became a pianist. Prepotente breaks down, afraid that loving him deprived her of that future. Carl listens, protects him and helps him leave. Prepotente embraces him and invites him to call him Pony.[21]
Helping the others continue
Prepotente pays for Chris and Britney to test the portal route. During the parade, he performs In the Air Tonight alone as part of the crawlers’ accusation against the audience. Sweety dies in Scolopendra’s second attack.[22]

Relationships
Miriam Dom
Miriam reins in Prepotente’s threats and comforts him, showing a closeness he rarely allows with strangers.[23]
She raised the goats near Parma and considers them her children. She heals Prepotente in battle and understands his distress at separation. His attempt to cure her ends in the trap that forces her death. He grieves beside her ashes, then turns toward revenge.[3]
Donut
Even during his hostile first meeting with Carl’s party, Prepotente recognizes Donut as another animal whose life the dungeon has transformed.[23]
