Book 8
A Parade of Horribles
Herot’s standing offer to buy cleaners opens a way to move hidden passengers out of the dungeon. Zhang activates a modified carrier, Suckira swallows it and Mordecai turns off the cleaner before selling it. The occupants travel inside with the machine.
A flower on Li Na’s cactus signals that she has reached the Cabaret. By Chapter 73, Imani says another 227 crawlers have been moved through sold cleaners. The Cabaret is a temporary refuge; the signal does not mean they have reached Earth’s surface.[3]
